Matt Forte believed to be on Jets' roster bubble
New York Jets running back Matt Forte is on the roster bubble, according to ESPN New York.
The Jets have been shopping Forte, but with his $4 million guaranteed salary for 2017, it may be hard to find a taker. With the club not projected to do well this season, they are looking to move on from -- and likely release -- the 31-year-old back as they give Bilal Powell the bulk of the carries and work in rookie Elijah McGuire
Our models project Forte for 184.9 touches for 913.9 total yards and 4.3 touchdowns, but those numbers will obviously change if he is cut and signed by another club.
