Julius Thomas back in preseason action for Dolphins

Miami Dolphins tight end Julius Thomas returned to preseason action on Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens, catching a pass for 2 yards.

What It Means:

The pass wasn't from new starting quarterback Jay Cutler, but it was good to see Thomas healthy enough to play a few snaps in a preseason game. He had been plagued by a back injury earlier in camp, but it looks like he is getting back on track. However, he has a lot of competition for touches in the Dolphins' offense this year, making him just a TE2 for now.

Our models project Thomas for 573.9 receiving yards and 3.7 touchdowns on 57.6 catches. He is numberFire's 19th-ranked fantasy tight end in 2017.
