Charone Peake slipping down Jets' depth chart
New York Jets wide receiver Charone Peake played only two offensive snaps in Saturday's preseason game against the Detroit Lions.
This comes after the Jets reduced Peake's reps in practice last week, per ESPN's Rich Cimini, instead going with Robby Anderson, Jalin Marshall, and Chris Harper as their top three options at wide receiver. It looked like Peake was in line for a starting role after Quincy Enunwa (neck) was lost for the year, but that no longer appears to be the case.
numberFire's models project Peake to catch 29.2 passes for 353.8 yards and 1.78 touchdowns this season.
