Zach Zenner first running back off bench for Lions
Detroit Lions running back Zach Zenner rushed 6 times for 26 yards and caught his only target for 3 yards in Sunday's preseason victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
Zenner was the first running back to enter the game behind starter Ameer Abdullah. He flashed with a 19-yard scamper on his first carry, but yards were tough to come by after that. The third-year undrafted free agent appears to be ahead of sophomore Dwayne Washington on the Lions' depth chart, but Zenner's fantasy relevance will be largely dependent on Abdullah's health.
numberFire's fantasy rankings have Zenner as the RB71 entering the 2017 season. We project him to rush 37.3 times for 141.3 yards and 1.16 touchdowns, with 16.3 receptions for 127.6 yards and 0.66 receiving touchdowns.
