Thomas Rawls (ankle) won't play on Friday for Seattle

Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls (ankle) will not play in Friday's preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

What It Means:

After running with the first team in Sunday's preseason opener, Rawls will sit out on Friday as he deals with what the Seahawks are calling a 'minor' ankle injury. Eddie Lacy will be the team's starting tailback. The ankle issue is a definite blow to those who were hoping Rawls would be anything more than a handcuff to Lacy this season, as the third-year RB has been dealing with injury issues throughout his career.

Our models project Rawls as the 50th best running back in 2017 with 108.8 carries for 425.4 yards and 3.8 TDs, while adding 16.1 catches, 125.6 yards, and 0.49 TDs through the air.
