Saints' Delvin Breaux (leg) to miss 4-6 weeks with fractured fibula

New Orleans Saints cornerback Delvin Breaux has been diagnosed with a fractured fibula and will miss 4-to-6 weeks, according to ESPN's Mike Triplett.

What It Means:

After missing 9 of 15 practices, Breaux was diagnosed with a simple contusion, but it turns out that the injury is far worse. Breaux will have to undergo surgery and if not for the misdiagnosis he could have done so already. He's now in danger of missing multiple regular season games and is unappealing to any team that may have had interest in the 27-year-old corner.

In 2016, Breaux managed 18 tackles and 1 pass defense in 6 starts. He was expected to be the Saints' third or fourth corner heading into this season.
