Broncos' Carlos Henderson needs thumb surgery
Denver Broncos wide receiver Carlos Henderson requires thumb surgery.
The team won't have a timetable for Henderson's return until after his Sunday operation. The 82nd overall pick of this year's draft, Henderson caught one pass for seven yards in his preseason debut on Thursday. Having a quiet camp, Henderson is theoretically in the lead for third receiver duties.
Bennie Fowler is currently penciled in as the third receiver in Denver, and our models project Fowler for 235 receiving yards and 0.68 touchdowns on 21 catches in 2017. He's outside the top-100 fantasy receivers in our models this year, as this role is not fantasy-relevant.
