Mike Glennon upset Bears traded up for Mitchell Trubisky

Chicago Bears quarterback Mike Glennon felt "cheated on" following the team's trade up for rookie signal-caller Mitchell Trubisky, according to the Chicago Tribune.

What It Means:

It certainly seemed like the Bears were committing to Glennon as their starting quarterback when they agreed to pay him $18.5 million in guarantees back in March. He remains the favorite to be under center for Chicago in Week 1, but after giving away three picks to move up one spot in the draft on Thursday night, the Bears appear to be quite smitten with the 22-year-old out of North Carolina.

In 219 drop backs in 2014, Glennon earned 0.00 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back. The average Passing NEP per drop back that season was 0.10. As a team last season, Chicago's -0.01 Adjusted Offensive Passing NEP was 21st in the NFL.
