Seahawks select Amara Darboh at 106th pick
The Seattle Seahawks selected Michigan wide receiver Amara Darboh with the 106th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
The 6'2", 214-pound Darboh made 28 starts as a Wolverine, earning second-team All-Big Ten as a fifth-year senior. Darboh lacks an explosive element despite 4.45 timed speed, and he showed a tendency to let passes into his body on college tape.
Darboh compiled a career of 2,062 receiving yards on 151 catches (13.7 yards per reception) and 14 touchdowns. He profiles best as the Seahawks' replacement for Jermaine Kearse, who earned a paltry 0.49 Reception Net Expected Points per target in 2016 -- the fourth-worst rate among the 68 receivers to see at least 75 targets.
