Bears owe Mike Glennon $19 million guaranteed with new deal

The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with quarterback Mike Glennon, formerly of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on a three-year, $45-million contract.

What It Means:

The deal includes $19 million guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, which is a pretty startling number for someone who has thrown 11 regular season passes since 2014. Chicago is still expected to look for a quarterback in the draft.

In 219 drop backs in 2014, Glennon earned 0.00 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back. As a team last season, Chicago averaged -0.01 Passing NEP per drop back.
