Dolphins re-sign Kenny Stills to four-year contract

The Miami Dolphins re-signed wide receiver Kenny Stills to a four-year, $32 million contract with $20 million guaranteed.

What It Means:

It's a major win for Miami after Stills looked likely to leave for better offers. Stills averaged 17.3 yards per reception in head coach Adam Gase's first season and will return as the Dolphins' primary outside receiver. The move speaks to Miami's lack of confidence in DeVante Parker and Leonte Carroo. Only 24 years old, Stills can now re-hit the free agent market at age 28.

Among the 68 wide receivers to see at least 75 targets last year, Stills ranked third in Reception Net Expected Points per target. He caught 42 passes for 726 yards and a career-high 9 touchdowns with the Dolphins in 2016.
