Ravens confident Kenneth Dixon can be premier NFL running back
Baltimore Ravens second-year running back Kenneth Dixon can be "one of the top backs in this league," believes head coach John Harbaugh.
Harbaugh was singing Dixon's praises at the NFL Combine, noting his "strength, tackle-breaking ability and personality." He was stuck in a committee with Terrance West during his rookie season, but it sounds like Dixon will be given the opportunity to take command of the backfield this offseason.
Out of the 69 running backs to see 50-plus carries last season, Dixon finished with the fourth-most Rushing Net Expected Points. He averaged 4.34 yards per carry on 88 rushing attempts.
