Eagles experiment with Vinny Curry at linebacker
The Eagles tested Vinny Curry at linebacker in minicamp to increase his playing time in different roles. Curry broke out last year with nine sacks even though he only played 32 percent of defensive snaps.
What It Means:
The Eagles are trying to add versatility to their pass rush to combat the struggles they had last year in the secondary. Adding a new position for Curry gives him more opportunities to be in the game and make impact plays. Curry is in the final year of his rookie contract so he should play with an added motivation this season.
