Browns tender Isaiah Crowell, working towards long-term deal
The Cleveland Browns placed a second-round tender on restricted free agent running back Isaiah Crowell.
The two sides are working on a long-term deal, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, but the tender affords them more time to make it happen. Crowell set career-highs in 2016 in all of carries (198), receptions (40) and yards from scrimmage (1,271).
Among the 54 running backs to see at least 80 carries last season, Crowell ranked 25th in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
