Randall Cobb might be facing 'make or break' season in 2017
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb may be looking at a "make or break" season in 2017, believes ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky.
Cobb has seen his numbers fall in consecutive years after he caught 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014 during a breakout campaign. Davante Adams surpassed Cobb as the Packers' number-two receiver behind Jordy Nelson, and some think he will be asked to take a paycut from the $8.6 million he's currently due in 2017. Cobb will be 27 by the start of next season.
Cobb ranked 43rd in Reception Net Expected Points per target among the 68 receivers with at least 75 targets.
