Jets eyeing up Mike Glennon in free agency

The New York Jets "seem to have their eyes on" Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free agent quarterback Mike Glennon, NJ Advance Media's Connor Hughes reports.

What It Means:

Spending the money it will take to land Glennon -- Adam Schefter estimated his market at $13-15 million in December -- a year after spending a second-round pick on Christian Hackenberg would be a clear admission of failure. Glennon was competent in 18 starts from 2013-14, and he should get a shot at a starting job this offseason.

In 219 drop backs in 2014, Glennon earned 0.00 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back. The average Passing NEP per drop back that season was 0.10.
