Browns say Isaiah Crowell's workload dependent on flow of game

Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell's workload is dependent on game flow, head coach Hue Jackson admitted.

What It Means:

This goes without saying, but it's nice to hear things like this acknowledged by a coach. Jackson said he "wants to give Crowell 20 carries" every game, but he "has to make sure we're still in the game first, not trailing." Crowell managed eight touches on just 50 percent of the snaps in Sunday's blowout loss. The Browns should be able to keep things closer against the San Diego Chargers in Week 16.

On his eight attempts, Crowell mustered just -2.23 Net Expected Points, per numberFire Live.
