Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) unlikely back for Buccaneers this week
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Jacquizz Rodgers (foot) is a "long shot" to play against the Chicago Bears in Week 10, according to ESPN Buccaneers reporter Jenna Laine.
Rodgers is still in a walking boot and hasn't made it back to practice. Doug Martin (hamstring) also remains doubtful versus Chicago, while Antone Smith (knee) and Charles Sims (knee) are both on injured reserve. Undrafted rookie Peyton Barber is the next man up in Tampa Bay's backfield and he should see enough volume to be a viable option in Week 10 for those in need.
The Buccaneers rank 30th in the NFL in Adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points per play. Barber had 55 yards on 15 touches on Thursday Night Football in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons.
