Chiefs admit Jamaal Charles (knee) wasn't healthy enough to play Week 7
Kansas Chiefs Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles (knees) essentially wasn't healthy enough to play in Sunday's win, head coach Andy Reid admitted Monday.
"His leg wasn't feeling right," Reid said. "That was it." It's unclear why was Charles even active if that was the case. Reid said Charles' knee "acted up" after Week 6, and was "up and down over the week." Reid went on to talk about saving bullets, etc. The reality is, Charles is a long way from 100 percent health, and Spencer Ware has fully taken over the Chiefs' backfield.
Coming into Week 7, Charles had earned 0.55 Rushing Net Expected Points on 11 carries. He had one carry in Week 7.
