Dolphins unlikely to have Arian Foster (groin, hamstring) Week 5
Miami Dolphins running back Arian Foster (groin, hamstring) is considered unlikely to play against the Tennessee Titans in Week 5, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Foster remains week-to-week with what's been described as a groin and hamstring issue. Head coach Adam Gase stated he will roll with a hot-hand approach in the backfield, throwing his four-man committee to the wayside. Jay Ajayi is expected to start, and Kenyan Drake will likely be the next man up if he struggles. Neither makes for more than a risky flex play in the probable event Foster remains sidelined.
Among the 71 running backs with at least 10 carries this season, Drake has the eighth-most Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play at 0.15. Ajayi ranks 53rd in the same metric.
