Broncos expect to have Trevor Siemian versus Atlanta
Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian (shoulder) is "day-to-day," said head coach Gary Kubiak.
"Our plans moving forward are for Trevor to be there Sunday and be ready to go," Kubiak clarified, adding that Siemian remains the starter over rookie first-round pick Paxton Lynch when healthy. Pro Football Talk claims the quarterback could miss a game or two, but majority opinion seems to agree with the "day-to-day" prognosis. With Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, Blake Bortles and Alex Smith all on bye Week 5, the to-be-determined starting quarterback for Denver makes for an interesting streaming option against an Atlanta Falcons defense that gave up two touchdowns to Derek Anderson in less than a half of action on Sunday.
Siemian had earned 1.76 Net Expected Points (NEP) on his 7 attempts in Week 4 prior to exiting with the injury. Lynch earned 8.21 NEP on the first 24 passing attempts of his career, helping win an easy one over the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay.
