Browns want to feed Isaiah Crowell the rock
Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell could be in for a heavy workload against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, per head coach Hue Jackson.
"We just have to hand it to him enough times," Jackson said, per the Browns' official transcript. "If you have a runner you believe in, you have to give him the ball," added Jackson. "We just have to give him opportunities to go show his ability." Crowell had 12 carries in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, finishing with 62 yards and a score, although 40 of those came on the game's final three plays. He's a lower-end flex option entering this Sunday's matchup with the Ravens.
Of the 33 running backs to record at least 10 carries in Week 1, Crowell ranked ninth with 0.11 Rushing Net Expected Points per play.
