Jets release running back Michael Carter on Tuesday
The New York Jets have released running back Michael Carter on Tuesday.
Carter will be placed on waivers after 39 career games with the New York Jets. Expect Breece Hall to see more third down situations after Carter played this role before today's release while Dalvin Cook and Izzy Abanikanda could also be in line for more touches.
On 23 touches this season, Carter ranks 59th among running backs with a 47.9 Pro Football Focus offensive rating while also accounting for 106 scrimmage yards and 2.5 yards after contact per attempt.
