Bears plan to leave receiver Chase Claypool as healthy inactive in Week 4
Ian Rapoport reports that the Chicago Bears will leave wide receiver Chase Claypool as a healthy inactive for their Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos.
There were concerns about Claypool's lack of effort and refinement in the early weeks of the season, but it wasn't until the former Steelers wideout criticized his coaching staff to the media that the team decided to scratch him from their gameday lineup. His absence could push Darnell Mooney into a full-time role.
Claypool has been a huge disappointment on the field for Chicago since they traded what ended up being the 32nd-overall pick for him partway through last season. He has caught just 4 of his 14 targets this year for 51 yards and a touchdown.
