Bears promote Chase Claypool from PUP list
The Chicago Bears have promoted wide receiver Chase Claypool from the PUP list.
Claypool was a surprising PUP list addition when the Bears opened their training camp, but has now been quickly promoted from the list and is eligible to rejoin the team Wednesday. It looks like he should be ready to roll with plenty of time before the beginning of the season.
Claypool didn't live up to expectations in his first season with the Bears, joining the team partway through the year via trade, but could benefit from a full offseason with the team's playbook. In what could be a blossoming offense with a third-year Justin Fields at quarterback, Claypool is ranked as numberFire's WR82 for the upcoming season.
