Free agent Ryan Fitzpatrick has no plans to retire
Free agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said he has no plans to retire.
"I'm playing," Fitzpatrick said. "I'm playing football next year." The retirement idea was floated last month, but it was never really a realistic outcome, as ESPN's Adam Schefter said Fitz would rather hang up his cleats than play for the New York Jets' low-ball offer. Expect the two sides to hash it out before camp.
Fitzpatrick had a very productive campaign in 2015. Among passers with at least 100 drop backs, he ranked 13th in Passing Net Expected Points per drop back.
