Mac Jones (ankle) could play Sunday for Patriots
New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones (ankle) will be evaluated on Saturday to determine his status for Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, per head coach Bill Belichick.
Jones has increased his practice activity this week, but the Patriots will see how he feels on Saturday following three straight days of work. Bailey Zappe will make another start if Jones is ruled out again. Expect a heavy dose of Rhamondre Stevenson either way.
Jones is the QB20 in numberFire's Week 6 rankings. Our models project him for 32.3 pass attempts and 15.6 FanDuel points. The Browns' pass defense is 24th in our advanced team metrics while their run defense is dead last, so it would make sense for the Patriots to try and pound the rock.
