Jaguars' Blake Bortles is excited to get Marqise Lee up to speed

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles said he is excited to finally get an "extended period" of work with wide receiver Marqise Lee this offseason.

What It Means:

A 2014 second-round pick, Lee has played just 23 games in two seasons and has yet to put together an extended run of health. "It’s been hard to get on the same page and work for an extended period of time, so I’m excited he’s here and he’s healthy," Bortles said. "He’s super talented." Lee is expected to battle 2015 fifth-rounder Rashad Greene for the third receiver role.

On 32 targets in 2015, Lee picked up 16.59 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP). His 0.52 Reception NEP per target ranked 44th among the 62 receivers with between 30 and 70 targets in 2015. Greene's 0.15 Reception NEP per target ranked dead last among these players.
