Seahawks not planning to trade Russell Wilson
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is not expected to be traded ahead of the 2022 season, according to Pete Carrol.
Wilson is once again the subject of trade rumors after another disappointing end to the Seahawks season in 2021. Carrol indicated that he won't be traded, but teams have been calling, with NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reporting that the Washington Commanders submitted a "strong" offer for Wilson. As free agency opens and pieces start to fall into place, expect Wilson's name to continue to circulate, despite Carrol's comments.
In 14 games for Seattle last season, Wilson completed 259 of 400 pass attempts for 3,113 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions, adding 43 rushing attempts for 183 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.
