Rams' Cam Akers (Achilles) inactive for Week 16
Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers (Achilles) will not play in the team's Week 16 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Akers was promoted off of the injured reserve yesterday despite tearing his Achilles tendon in July, but isn't quite ready to see the field yet. The Rams will continue to deploy Sony Michel and Darrell Henderson in Week 16, but Akers is a looming presence in that backfield as the playoffs draw near.
Michel played over Henderson in Week 15, but Henderson had been nursing a thigh injury so it's unclear how exactly the Rams will divide the workload this week. Our models project Michel, who has a $6,900 salary on FanDuel, for 8.2 fantasy points, and Henderson ($6,900) for 10.8 fantasy points.
