Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) returning to Texans practice this week
Houston Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) will return to practice this week.
Taylor injured his hamstring in Week 2 and was placed on injured reserve. Texans head coach David Culley said Taylor will reclaim the starting job when he's available, which it sounds like will be next week versus the Los Angeles Rams on Halloween. Taylor's return should be an upgrade for Brandin Cooks and Houston's skill-players after catching passes from Davis Mills for the past five-plus games.
Tyrod scored 23.6 FanDuel points in Week 1 in his only healthy start this season. He is averaging the most Passing Net Expected Points per drop back (0.55) among all quarterbacks to make a start in 2021. Mills is ranked seventh-worst in Passing NEP per drop back (negative-0.07) out of that same group.
