Texans' Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) could miss four games
Houston Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) could miss the team's next four games while he recovers from the injury that sidelined him during Week 2's loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Taylor was off to a second sensational start in Week 2 before suffering a hamstring strain just before the halftime mark. Taylor reportedly suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain, meaning a stint on the new short-term Injured Reserve could be in play for the veteran. The Texans have already confirmed that Taylor will not play in Week 3.
With Taylor sidelined, expect 2021 NFL Draft third-round pick Davis Mills to start in his stead. Mills had a rough first outing in the NFL as he steered the Texans to a loss in Week 2, completing just 8 of 18 passes for 102 yards, 1 score, an interception, and a sack, but could benefit from a short week of practice with the starters as the Texans head into their Thursday night game against the Carolina Panthers.
