Evan Engram (calf) progressing for Giants
New York Giants tight end Evan Engram (calf) is "making a lot of jumps in terms of how he’s working," head coach Joe Judge said.
Judge said he's hopeful that Engram will be able to make his season debut on Thursday night against the Washington Football Team. Engram injured his calf in the Giants' third preseason game. Kyle Rudolph caught 2 passes for 8 yards on 5 targets in Week 1 with Engram sidelined.
Rudolph ran 27 pass routes in Week 1. The Giants enter Week 2 ranked 21st in Passing Net Expected Points allowed per dropback. Engram has a $7,500 salary on FanDuel's Thursday night one-game slate. Rudolphs has a $7,000 salary.
