Tampa Bay's Tom Brady praises Patrick Mahomes heading into historic Super Bowl battle

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was full of praise when asked about Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes ahead of their Super Bowl showdown on Sunday.

What It Means:

Brady told reporters on Monday that Mahomes has "only elevated his play since 2018." Adding "I think there's a lot of things that make him a great player, obviously his physical skill set, but I think he's got the ability to focus when the moments are the biggest and to deliver for his team. That's probably the mark of any great athlete, is coming through in the clutch, and I think he's off to a great start in his career doing that". On Sunday, Brady will try to slightly delay Mahomes' rise as he looks to add a seventh ring to his certified greatest of all time resume. Our models expect Brady to complete 24.6 of 38.0 pass attempts against the Chiefs.

Brady's Super Bowl projection includes 281.8 passing yards, 2.2 passing touchdowns, 0.6 interceptions, and 19.9 FanDuel points. The Buccaneers are 3.0-point underdogs against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, with an implied team total of 26.75 points according to numberFire's DFS Heat Map.
