Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) ruled out for Dolphins again
Miami Dolphins running back Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) is ruled out for Week 14 versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ahmed did not practice at all this week. Myles Gaskin rushed 21 times for 90 yards and caught 2 passes for 51 yards last week with Ahmed sidelined. He may give up a few touches to DeAndre Washington (hamstring), but Gaskin should see a healthy amount of volume in a three-down role again this Sunday. He's averaging 4.6 targets per contest, so a potentially negative game script shouldn't be too much of a detriment.
Gaskin is currently considered a top-10 running back in numberFire's Week 14 fantasy rankings. He has a salary of $6,000 on FanDuel's main slate and our models project Gaskin for 14.8 FanDuel points, giving him the most projected value at his position. Furthermore, the Chiefs are allowing 2.5 yards before contact per attempt, the second-worst rate in the league, according to Sports Info Solutions.
