Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) sits out Dolphins practice
Miami Dolphins running back Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday.
Ahmed injured his shoulder during last week's loss to the Denver Broncos and made a brief exit before returning. He still finished with a 66.2 percent offensive snap share and gained 74 yards on 17 touches. The Dolphins could just be managing Ahmed's reps. The potential return of Myles Gaskin (knee, injured reserve), who practiced in a red non-contact jersey Wednesday, is more concerning for Ahmed's fantasy value in Week 12 versus the New York Jets.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Dolphins are currently 6.5-point favorites over the Jets, so Ahmed could wind up with a voluminous workload in a positive game script if Gaskin doesn't play. The Jets have the second-worst pass defense in numberFire's efficiency rankings but they rank in the top-10 against the run.
