Rams' Andrew Whitworth tears MCL, damages PCL
Los Angeles Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth suffered a torn left MCL and damage to his PCL during Sunday's 23-16, Week 10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
Whitworth went down in the second quarter following a collision with a Seahawks player. Third-year pro Joe Noteboom replaced Whitworth at left tackle. Excluding a game where the Rams rested their starters, Whitworth has started every game for the team since his arrival from the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017. He will turn 39 next month.
Whitworth ranks as Pro Football Focus' No. 4 tackle with an overall grade of 88.7, including 90.5 as a pass-blocker and 83.2 as a run-blocker. Noteboom has earned an overall grade of 50.1 this season (67.7 for pass-blocking and 44.1 for run-blocking).
