Carlos Hyde (hamstring) doubtful for Seahawks versus 49ers

Seattle Seahawks running back Carlos Hyde (hamstring) is doubtful for Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

What It Means:

Chris Carson (foot) is listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision. Travis Homer (knee) is also listed as questionable, but Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll previously indicated that he will play. Homer could be in a three-down role versus the 49ers if Carson and Hyde both sit out. Fourth-round rookie DeeJay Dallas may also be asked to play a larger role. Homer hasn't handled more than 5 touches in any game this season, but the 2019 sixth-rounder averaged 13.0 touches and 67.0 yards over his final two games last year.

Homer has rushed 18 times for 68 yards and caught 3 passes (4 targets) for 7 yards and 1 touchdown this season. Out of the 81 backs with at least 15 carries this season, Homer is adding the fourth-fewest Rushing Net Expected Points per carry. The 49ers have the No. 5 rush defense in numberFire's advanced team rankings.
