Antonio Brown signs one-year deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers, "likely" to debut against Saints in Week 9

Free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

What It Means:

Pending some final language and COVID protocols, Brown is now officially a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. According to Schefter, he is likely to make his Tampa Bay debut against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9. Brady was reportedly a "driving force" behind Tampa's interest in Brown, and now the pair have been reunited. It remains to be seen how exactly his arrival will impact Tampa Bay's other receivers, but it will likely result in less volume for Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, and a significantly reduced role for Scotty Miller.

Before signing Brown, the Buccaneers were already the top team in numberFire's NFL Team Power Rankings. They had a 75.1% chance to make the playoffs, 45.4% chance to win their division, and 6% chance to win the Super Bowl, the seventh-best odds in the league.
