Bears expected to sign Lamar Miller to practice squad
The Chicago Bears are expected to sign former Patriots running back Lamar Miller to their practice squad, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Miller was signed by the Patriots during the preseason but released before Week 1. With Tarik Cohen out for the season after tearing his ACL in Week 3, the Bears needed some additional depth at the running back position behind David Montgomery and Ryan Nall. Miller is working his way back from a torn ACL himself.
Montgomery has turned 43 carries into 191 yards so far this season, adding 6 receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown in the passing game.
