49ers' JaMycal Hasty promoted to active roster
San Francisco 49ers running back JaMycal Hasty has been brought up to the active roster prior to the team's Week 3 game against the New York Giants.
This was expected, as the 49ers protected the rookie rusher following the injuries to Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman. While Jerick McKinnon and Jeff Wilson Jr. are expected to handle the vast majority of the backfield work, Hasty has an opportunity to show the coaching staff he can make something happen if given playing time.
The 49ers are facing a rushing defense in New York that has been pretty solid through two weeks, ranking 13th in the league in adjusted net expected points allowed per carry.
