Cam Akers (ribs) day-to-day for Rams
Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers is reportedly day-to-day with a ribs injury.
Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that Akers is dealing with "some separated rib cartilage" but that the running back is apparently considered to be day-to-day. Akers handled 3 carries on 3 snaps before getting ruled out in the first quarter of Sunday's game.
The Rams have held true to their offseason word so far in 2020 and have made use of all three of their top running backs. If Akers is indeed day-to-day, this could easily be an unreliable three-man backfield in Week 3 when the Rams take on the Buffalo Bills.
