Packers' Aaron Jones torches Lions for 236 yards and 3 touchdowns in Week 2 victory
Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones recorded 18 carries for 168 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns with 4 receptions on 8 targets for 68 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown in a 42-21 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 2.
Jones was the engine of the Packers' offense on Sunday, consistently moving the ball on the ground and through the air was ease. He averaged 9.3 yards per carry and 17.0 yards per reception while leading all Packers in targets. Davante Adams left the game early with a hamstring injury and did not return, which may further increase Adams' opportunity in Week 3. Next up for Adams and the Packers is a week 3 clash with the New Orleans Saints.
Jones scored 43.6 FanDuel points in Week 2, 28.3 more than numberFire's projection (15.3). He led all players in FanDuel points scored on the early slate of games. Our models project him to score 14.6 points against the Saints in Week 3.
