Saints' Michael Thomas (ankle) officially ruled out for Week 2's game against Raiders
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has been ruled out for Week 2's game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.
Thomas has been downgraded to out and will not play in Week 2. On Friday, Thomas and the Saints were still "hopeful" he could play this week, but after not practicing, Thomas has been ruled out. It remains to be seen exactly how long Thomas will miss with a high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 1's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Thomas hasn't been placed on the injured list yet, which may indicate that the Saints believe he can return within three weeks. With Thomas out, Emmanuel Sanders, Tre'Quan Smith, and Alvin Kamara should all see more looks on Monday night.
Sanders' Week 2 projection includes 5.1 receptions on 7.4 targets for 58.7 yards, 0.39 touchdowns, and 10.8 FanDuel points. He is the WR28 in our Week 2 rankings.
