Saints part ways with longtime guard Jahri Evans
The New Orleans Saints have released guard Jahri Evans.
The move saves $3.2 million in cap room. Evans, 32, had spent his entire career with the Saints, earning six Pro Bowl trips and four first-team All-Pro berths across ten seasons. Evans' body has begun to break down in recent years, however, most notably battling wrist and knee injuries.
The Buffalo News' Vic Carucci reported last March that the Buffalo Bills had interest in trading for Evans, so perhaps we'll see him resurface there. New Orleans finished 2015 ranked second in Adjusted Offensive Net Expected Points per play.
