Tyler Eifert

Jaguars' Tyler Eifert building rapport with Gardner Minshew

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Tyler Eifert has shown a "strong connection" with Gardner Minshew throughout training camp, per John Shipley for Sports Illustrated.

What It Means:

Eifert was also praised by Shipley's colleague, John Oesher, last week for his effort at camp. He should see the majority of tight end snaps for the Jaguars after Josh Oliver (foot surgery) was placed on injured reserve. Eifert averaged a career-low 10.1 yards per catch on 63 targets last season for the Cincinnati Bengals but he managed to play all 16 games for the first time in his career. The former first-round pick turns 30 in a couple weeks.

numberFire's models project Eifert for 42.6 targets, 27.9 receptions, 314.5 yards, and 2.2 touchdowns this season. He's the TE34 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
