Redskins' Chris Thompson (toe) inactive in Week 12
Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson will not play on Sunday in the team's Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions.
Thompson returned to practice for the first time in weeks, but he's not ready to make a return to the field for a live game just yet. Perhaps he'll be able to suit up by next week, but for now, Adrian Peterson and Derrius Guice will handle the backfield duties for Washington.
In six games this season, Thompson has 23 carries for 79 yards and 27 catches for 276 yards.
