Rishard Matthews released by Titans
The Tennessee Titans released wide receiver Rishard Matthews.
Matthews left the team earlier this week, so the Titans didn't really have many options. Turning 29 next month, Matthews is a better talent than most team's number-two receivers and should be able to get another opportunity, despite the abrupt end to his tenure in Tennessee. Corey Davis is now locked-in as the Titans' top wideout, and sophomore Taywan Taylor should see more opportunity.
Matthews caught 53 passes (87 targets) for 795 yards and 4 touchdowns in 14 games for the Titans in 2017.
