9. Wisconsin Badgers

Average nERD: 13.83

As is the case with a few programs on this list, for the most part, the Wisconsin Badgers' success is a product of one great coach: Bo Ryan. In 14-plus seasons under Ryan, the Badgers won at least 20 games in all but two seasons. Including the two years prior, under head coaches Brad Soderberg and Dick Bennett, and two years after, under Greg Gard, Wisconsin has tallied a win-loss record of 419-163. That's a win percentage of 72% across 17 seasons.

The 2014-15 season is the closest they came to a championship, with a five-point loss to Duke in the national title game. That same year, Wisconsin won 36 games, the most wins in the history of the basketball program.

Of the 10 teams here, the Badgers, with an average pace faster than just 17.7% of teams, have operated at the slowest pace but with the most consistency. Their variance of .372 is, by far, first among these 10. The fact that the Badgers are, on average, more efficient than 80% of teams on both ends of the floor probably has a lot to do with it.
