Pistons' Willie Reed suspended six games by NBA due to domestic violence incident
Detroit Pistons forward/center Willie Reed has been suspended six games by the National Basketball Association due to a domestic violence incident that occurred last summer.
Reed was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor offense on August 5, 2017 but managed to resolve the issue by entering a pretrial diversion program in October. The NBA stated that the suspension is "based on all facts and circumstances of this matter." Reed's suspension will begin on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets. He'll be eligible to return on February 25 versus the Charlotte Hornets.
Reed, recently acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers in the Blake Griffin deal, is averaging 3.1 minutes through three games with the Pistons.
